Prince Harry to Rush Back to California after Attending King Charles’s Coronation

Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, will reportedly fly back to California, US, just hours after his father, King Charles III’s coronation in London, and miss the following day’s star-studded concert.

Royal sources have claimed that Harry will attend the coronation at Westminster Abbey on May 6, without his wife Meghan Markle and their children, Archie and Lilibet, who are staying in California.

He is then expected to fly back to the US soon after to be with his family and belatedly celebrate Archie’s fourth birthday which is on May 6.

Harry to Miss Coronation Concert

According to a royal source, Harry is not expected to stay in Britain for the star-studded concert at Windsor Castle on May 7, one day after the ceremony.

The source stated that “organisers have been told Harry won’t be attending the concert with the rest of the Royal Family, which is a great shame as it will be such a spectacular event”.

Earlier this month, Buckingham Palace and a spokesman for the Sussexes confirmed that Harry would attend the coronation at the Abbey on May 6, but Meghan and their children will stay home in the US following “extensive discussions” between London and California.

Harry’s Absence in Official Procession

Sources have also revealed that Harry delayed replying to the invitation to the coronation because he was “preoccupied” by where he would have to sit.

Harry will play no part in next month’s official procession, walking in and out as a guest, with front row seats reserved for working members of the Royal Family.

It is understood that the King and Prince William have had no meaningful dialogue with Harry since the late Queen’s funeral at the Abbey last September.

Commentary

Harry’s decision to prioritize spending time with his family over attending the concert shows his commitment to being a present father and husband.

The decision may also reflect the strained relationship between Harry and the rest of the Royal Family, which has been the subject of much media scrutiny.

Regardless of the reasons behind Harry’s choice, it is important to respect his decision and allow him to prioritize his personal life without judgment.

The coronation and concert will undoubtedly be historic events, but it is equally important for Harry to be there for his family during this time.
