Prince Andrew was spotted enjoying the outdoors while his former friend Ghislaine Maxwell maintained her fitness in a U.S. prison, where she is serving a 20-year sentence for sex trafficking of minor girls.
As he rode his horse around the Windsor Estate today, the disgraced prince, who was friends with Jeffrey Epstein, was seen looking glum.
Maxwell, a disgraced British socialite and former friend of the 62-year-old, has been keeping fit by running and playing softball, which she is apparently ‘obsessed’ with.
This comes after it was reported that Prince Andrew is in a self-imposed lockdown, binge-watching television box sets, and after Maxwell referred to him as a “dear friend.”
According to sources, Andrew is a “virtual recluse” who only comes out to go horse-riding twice a week, swim occasionally, or walk the royal corgis Muick and Sandy and his and ex-wife Sarah Ferguson’s five Norfolk terriers.
His outdoor time has also decreased since his mother’s death at Balmoral last month.
Maxwell, age 60, is rumored to enjoy softball so much in prison that she has begun representing her prison wing in competitive games.
The kid sex trafficker has been dubbed “Dottie” by the inmates, after the character from the baseball film A League of Their Own.
In Florida’s Tallahassee jail, where Maxwell is serving a 20-year sentence, the lockdown has just been relaxed, allowing inmates additional recreation time.
“Whenever there is a game, Ghislaine wants to play,” a prison source told The Mirror. When she entered the field, her nickname was Dottie. It adhered.’
Two weeks ago, Maxwell, a convicted sex trafficker, referred to him as a “dear friend,” prompting this trip.
In her first interview since her arrest in July 2020, she told the Sun that she feels “so bad” for him while speaking to the publication from prison.
Maxwell, who is serving a 20-year sentence for sex trafficking, also stated that she monitors what is happening to Andrew, whose association with her and the deceased Jeffrey Epstein remains under suspicion.
Additionally, Ghislaine discussed her friendship with Andrew. After learning that the Prince’s attorneys claimed they were never close, she stated, “I accept that this friendship could not survive my conviction.”
At the time of his death, Epstein was under arrest for alleged sex trafficking and child sexual abuse.
Andrew was also questioned about a photo with suspected victim of sex trafficking by Epstein and Maxwell, Virginia Guiffre.
Andrew, however, has maintained that the photo is fake and has categorically denied involvement in their sex trafficking ring.
