Port Edward police officer, his wife, and their children were brutally gunned down outside of their home

On Saturday, a Port Edward police officer, his wife, and three children were gunned murdered, according to the Hawks.

Additionally, a Cape Town teen was shot 17 times just hours before the release of his matriculation exam results.

According to Captain Simphiwe Mhlongo, the motivation for the murders remains unknown.

In the incident, the off-duty police officer, Warrant Officer Roger Sinegugu Mavundla, his wife, age 39, their son, age 17, and their daughter, age 10, were cruelly murdered. Their seven-year-old daughter was shot and is currently battling for her life in a hospital.

The motivation for the murders is currently unknown, and no arrests have been made.
