Police locate a woman’s death in ‘suspicious’ circumstances at an Adelaide home


Major crime detectives are looking into the death of a 51-year-old woman who occurred in “strange” circumstances at a residence.

Early on Tuesday morning, residents of the house in Park Holme, in Adelaide’s southwest, called emergency services.

After being removed from the house in handcuffs, a 34-year-old male who knows the lady and lives at the same address is now helping the police.

The lady was discovered to be unconscious by paramedics, and despite their best attempts, she tragically passed away.

Michelle Swincer, a neighbour, told News Corp that seeing police officers and plain-clothed investigators on the street was “concerning.”

It’s extremely startling when it occurs on your neighbourhood, Ms. Swincer said, adding that it’s really sad.

It is still too early to determine the cause of death, said to Detective Superintendent Michael Fisher, who asked anybody with information to contact Crime Stoppers at 1800 333 000.
