Police are looking for a group of teenagers who ransacked a McDonald’s in the heart of the city, with many of them leaping over the counter and grabbing food.
On Sunday, August 21, at about 9 p.m., a group of around 50 adolescents fully overran the fast food restaurant in Nottingham’s city center, according to a video.
Around seven teens leaped over the counter in front of the startled employees who were busy cooking meals close to deep fat fryers as the mob poured in front of the counter.
As the meal was being cooked in the kitchen, a few of the youngsters began taking it.
Seven or eight of the young people leaped over the counter in front of the surprised employees who were preparing food near to deep-fat fryers. They then started snatching meals and beverages.
The heinous incident happened at a McDonald’s in Nottingham’s central Clumber Street.
While several of them recorded the event on their smartphones, they also helped themselves to soft drinks.
About 20 of the gang remained in the restaurant after they departed and were belligerent and threatening to the workers.
When police arrived at the business, the group of troublemakers had already left.
We are taking this incident extremely seriously, a Nottinghamshire Police spokeswoman stated.
“This is a commercial crime,” the gang said after breaking in behind a store’s counter and stealing food and soft beverages.
“This is just unacceptable.” Although no arrests have been made as of yet, we will continue to cooperate with the McDonald’s on Clumber Street and conduct CCTV investigations to identify the perpetrators.
There have also been rumours of the throng gathering at approximately 10 o’clock outside another McDonald’s in Nottingham’s downtown.
When police arrived, the gang had already departed the site, and nothing had been stolen from the outlet.
The gang is clad in tracksuit bottoms, hats, and caps and is thought to be between the ages of 14 and 16.
