Police are hunting for a 12-year-old child who has not been seen since he left his home holding a flashlight in frigid temperatures Wednesday night.
Monday evening around 7.30pm, Richard Phorrington was last seen at his home in Shoreham, West Sussex.
Richard was wearing a long black jacket with a hood when he vanished, but he was barefoot.
Last night, over fifty members of emergency crew and volunteers, including the coastguard, were observed conducting a search.
Richard Phorrington, 12, vanished from his Shoreham home at 7.30 p.m. Friday night.
Approximately fifty emergency personnel and volunteers, including the coastguard, joined the search.
Unsuccessfully, aiding parties were observed searching the harbor of the coastal town for Richard, but without success.
A Sussex Police spokesman stated, “We are concerned for the welfare of missing Shoreham, 12-year-old Richard Phorrington.”
Monday around 7.30 p.m., he was last seen leaving his residence; he has not been seen since.
Last night, aid workers were observed scouring the harbor of the beach resort in search of Richard.
Last night, a Sussex Police spokeswoman expressed concern for Richard’s well-being.
Richard is described as being slender, around 5’3″ in height, and wearing a long black jacket with a hood, dark pants, black socks, and no shoes.
It is conceivable that Richard carries a torch.
