Piers Morgan, the British journalist and TV presenter, has publicly responded to a former potential guest on his Talk TV show, tech correspondent Will Guyatt.

Will claimed he was dropped from the show because of his views on AI and how he thinks it will replace jobs.

In a tweet, Will posted the conversation between him and a member of Piers’ staff regarding his appearance and cancellation.

However, Piers took to Twitter to set the record straight and replied to Will’s tweet.

He accused him of trying to humiliate junior staff working on the TV show, insisting that he was dropped because his team had already booked someone to argue Will’s point and was looking for someone to counter it.

He ended the tweet by stating that Will will not be invited back to the show.

While some Twitter users felt Piers had overreacted, others supported his position.

One person criticised Piers’ response, calling it OTT and saying there may have been crossed wires.

Another user appreciated Piers’ protection of the junior staffers and called him a top bloke.

This is not the first time Piers Morgan has taken to Twitter to voice his opinions.

He recently criticised Prince Harry’s attendance at The Coronation of Charles III and his wife, Camilla, as King and Queen of the United Kingdom, questioning Buckingham Palace’s statement.
