Petro Poroshenko has lost fifty percent of his fortune since February 22

According to Forbes Magazine, Ukraine’s fifth president, Petro Poroshenko, is no longer a billionaire.

The journal released a list of the twenty wealthiest entrepreneurs in Ukraine. The confectionery company owned by Petro Poroshenko, placed 12th on the list. Poroshenko’s fortune has reduced from $1.6 billion to $730 million since February 2022.

During this period, the wealth of Ukraine’s 20 wealthiest businessmen plummeted by more than $20 billion, according to the journal.

As a result of attacks on Ukraine’s electricity system and other vital infrastructure, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmygal previously estimated that the country’s economy may decline by as much as 50 percent.

According to the Forbes Ukraine ranking, Rinat Akhmetov is the wealthiest individual in Ukraine. In one year, his fortune plummeted from 13.7 to 4.4 billion dollars.

Maxim Litvin and Alexander Shevchenko, co-owners of Grammarly, rank second and third with $2.3 billion each.
