Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment, enjoins the retired staff of the Ministry to keep serving the nation

The Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment’s Permanent Secretary, Ms. Kachollom S. Daju, mni, has urged the Ministry’s retired workers to continue serving the country with the knowledge and skills they acquired while still in service.

On behalf of the Ministry’s Skills Development and Certification department’s retiring officers, Daju spoke in Abuja during a send-off ceremony.

She pointed out that the retired officers’ priceless expertise gained while serving the country may still be infused into the system to continue fortifying the country.

The Permanent Secretary stated, “You have worked tirelessly to move the Ministry towards achieving its set goals and mandate. In doing this, you have gathered priceless experience from which others have benefitted.

“We therefore implore you to honour our invitations, whenever you are called upon in the near future to serve in areas where your wealth of experience can be tapped to add value to the Department in particular and the Ministry in general.”

She offered prayers for strength, wisdom, and opportunities for the officers to continue serving the country and mankind while also congratulating them on their retirement and contributions to nation-building.

Prior to that, Dr. Tiza Chiila Shaakaa, the department’s head for skills development and certification, said that the event aimed to honour and congratulate their colleagues as they bowed out of service.

The retiring officers were praised by the speaker for their many accomplishments, contributions to the ministry and department, and distinguished service to the country.
