The Project Management Team has sent the Interim Report of the Enterprise Content Management System of the Federal Ministry of Information and Culture to Mrs. Lydia Shehu Jafiya, Mni, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry (PMT).
In her comments, the Permanent Secretary congratulated the Team for the report and encouraged them to work harder since the year is nearly over.
Mrs. Lydia Shehu Jafiya Mni urged the Team to make sure that the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) document for the Ministry is reviewed by all Departments and Directors and that it is in accordance with the Mandate of the Ministry, the Work Flow, and the Mandate of their respective departments.
She committed to helping the Team and ensuring that the Ministry’s ECMS project and work process digitization are completely executed.
The Project Management Team (PMT) was established in March 2022 to expedite the process of completely implementing ECMS in the Ministry, according to the Team Lead, Mrs. Comfort Ajiboye, who spoke earlier during the presentation.
She said that the Team conducted a market survey, paid research visits to MDAs that were already using ECMS, and provided suggestions that were included in the report.
The Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) of the Ministry is available and will be reviewed by Directors and Departments, according to Mrs. Grace Okani, the Director of Human Resource Management for the Ministry and a team member.
She emphasized the need of educating Ministry directors and employees on the Enterprise Content Management System (ECMS) and SOPs.
