London firefighters responded to reports of smoke emanating from a rail at the Oxford Street Underground station.

As of 8:50 a.m., London Fire Brigade crews were examining the fire alarm.

Three fire engines from the Soho and Euston fire stations were present at the scene.

Transport for London (TFL) stated, “No service between Battersea Power Station and Camden Town via Charing Cross in the northbound direction whilst we respond to a fire incident at Tottenham Court Road.”
