Frustrated Jetstar passengers clapped and applauded as a ‘unruly’ lady was removed from an aircraft after allegedly becoming angry about not having a window seat.
On Sunday, it is thought that the Australian passenger on Jetstar aircraft JQ28 from Phuket to Sydney began grumbling about her seat’s proximity to the aisle.
One passenger’s videotape captured the lady exclaiming, “I’m out!” as she got up from her seat and took her bag out of the overhead compartment. I’m out!’.
Thank you very much, she said.
The passengers on board began to applaud and she began to go down the aisle.
After “using aggressive and disrespectful words” at fellow passengers on a Jetstar flight, an Australian lady was taken off the aircraft. It is thought that the incident sprang from a quarrel over a window seat.
The lady swiftly turned back and asked a female passenger, “What did you call me?” as she exited the aircraft.
Before a flight attendant intervened and urged the lady to sit down, another passenger attempted to eject the woman from the aircraft by urging her to leave.
One person who was recording the incident was heard exclaiming, “Oh my gosh, they’re going to start a punch on.”
The irate passenger was then carried to the front of the aircraft, where she was observed yelling at a flight attendant and gesturing in the direction of her seat.
Before she was led off the aircraft from Phuket to Sydney on Sunday, the lady was observed fighting with two other passengers on board.
As the lady was ultimately removed entirely off the plane, other passengers could be heard yelling “get out.”
According to others there, the situation started when the lady demanded a seat by the window.
In a previous video, the lady could be seen grinning at the camera and enquiring, “What’s going on habibi?”
A representative for Jetstar confirmed that the lady had been kicked off the aircraft.
The representative stated that before takeoff in Phuket, “one unruly passenger was taken off our aircraft after being disruptive and using abusive and unacceptable language against other customers and our staff members.”
The person was removed off the plane when Phuket airport security was alerted.
We take safety and security extremely seriously, and we will not accept this kind of conduct on our aircraft.
