Orlando Pirates signed Ndabayithethwa Ndlondlo before the transfer window closed

The brilliant Ndabayithethwa Ndlondlo was officially signed by Orlando Pirates on a three-year agreement when the transfer window closed at midnight on Thursday.

Marumo Gallants signs the 27-year-old to a three-year contract with the Buccaneers for an unknown sum.

Romeo, as he is commonly called, rejoins the team after departing in 2016 to join French team Stade Rennais.

The seasoned forward, who was just cleared by his old company, joins the Buccaneers as their sixth senior acquisition of the year.

It’s fantastic to be back, Erasmus stated after rejoining the Buccaneers.

Orlandopiratesfc.com can confirm Sipho Chaine’s signing in the interim. The 25-year-old agrees to a three-year contract after leaving Chippa United.

Fans of the Buccaneers continued to scan the media for any information on the team’s rumoured search for a goalkeeper to boost their ranks, with prior connections to Melusi Buthelezi and Lloyd Kazapua.

However, SABC Sport stated that the Buccaneers were really in talks with Chippa United and could be able to obtain a cash move for Sipho Chaine as they try to bolster their goalkeeping pool with a more seasoned backup.

Although the team has yet to formally acknowledge the move and the terms of the deal, iDiski Times has subsequently revealed that Pirates have actually signed Chaine.

Ndlondlo, meanwhile, was regarded as a player who “has demonstrated to be excellent in both offensive and defensive scenarios, gifted with great technical ability, inventiveness, an incisive range of passing, and a desire to work hard for his side.”

Moments after putting pen to paper, Ndlondlo told Orlandopiratesfc.com: “I am happy to be here. This is a dream come true for me.

“With the window closing today, I didn’t think a move would happen, but football is an unpredictable game anything is possible. Here I am today speaking to you as an Orlando Pirates player.

“I would like to express my gratitude to everybody at Marumo Gallants. To the players, coaches, and management, thank you for a wonderful couple of years…and to the fans, you will always have a place in my heart.

“As I said before, it’s a dream to be here and I look forward to joining up with my new teammates. I come here looking to make a meaningful contribution to this great institution,” he concluded.

The main beneficiaries of the transfer market were the Pirates.

Orlando Pirates had a successful transfer window because they weren’t scared to spend big money to bring in the players they wanted for the next campaign.

Tapelo Xoki, Nkosinathi Sibisi, and Miguel Timm are among the notable additions, while on the last day of the transfer window, Sipho Chaine and Ndabayithethwa Ndlondlo were also brought in.
