Sipho Chaine, a goalkeeper, was signed by Orlando Pirates from Chippa United

Sipho Chaine, a goalkeeper, was signed by Orlando Pirates from Chippa United before the Premier Soccer League transfer market closed on Thursday.

The 25-year-old goalkeeper was registered by the Buccaneers at the PSL headquarters a few minutes before the window shut, according to iDiski Times.

The Sea Robbers have been looking for the goalkeeper for a while now; they have been connected to players like Melusi Buthelezi of TS Galaxy and Loyd Kazapua, who plays for the same Chippa United team that traded them Chaine.

The goalie, who was born in Bloemfontein, joined the Chilli Boys at the beginning of this season but only made two appearances.

He was still allowed to sign up for another team as FIFA regulations allow players to sign up for two different teams in the same season.

As of the second deadline day, CHAINE SIGNED FOR THE PIRATES.

Chaine was Ezimnyama Ngenkani’s second deadline-day acquisition after they had announced the surprise signing of Ndabayithethwa Ndlondlo from Marumo Gallants on a three-year contract.
