Off-duty NYPD officer mugged by THREE guys while jogging in the Bronx


An experienced police officer is in critical condition after being robbed by three guys while out for a morning jog in the Bronx.

At 10:30 a.m., the anonymous cop, an 18-year veteran assigned to the Central Park precinct, was being assaulted while racing through the Soundview neighbourhood.

He was found on Olmstead Avenue, between Lafayette and Turnbull Avenues, bleeding from his ear as he lay on the pavement.

The cop was brought to Jacobi hospital, where doctors discovered that he had a cracked skull and cerebral haemorrhage.

According to reliable sources, his situation is serious.

When he was discovered, the cop was unable to talk or stand.

A witness reported to authorities that the guy had been assaulted by three black individuals, who then raced off in a black Honda Accord. The man had no identification on him and was not immediately identified as an NYPD officer.

According to The New York Post, Mayor Eric Adams arrived at the hospital on Tuesday night.
