A child who was not in the stroller at the time but who had their finger trapped in the rear brake disc was injured by a jogging stroller.
UPPAbaby is recalling about 14,400 strollers made by the company.

Multiple companies, including Amazon, BuyBuyBaby, Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, and Pottery Barn Kids, have sold the $600 stroller.
Stop using the strollers immediately and call UPPAbaby to get free new brake discs for both wheels.

After a youngster lost a fingertip, UPPAbaby is recalling their All-Terrain Ridge Jogging Stroller.

The mishap happened because the rear disc brakes of the stroller had apertures large enough for a child’s fingertip to pass through while the stroller is in motion, resulting in amputation or laceration.

The toddler who lost a fingertip was not in the stroller when the tragedy occurred.

Between October 2021 and August of this year, around 14,000 of the $600 strollers were sold at BuyBuyBaby, Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, Pottery Barn Kids, Amazon, and other baby boutiques.

The business advises owners of this model to immediately cease using the stroller and to contact the company for free replacement disc brakes.

The defective strollers have serial numbers beginning with ‘1401RDGUS’ that are located on the right side of the stroller above the rear wheel.

The strollers were offered in three fabric colors, including white, charcoal, and slate blue, with a black frame.

The business said, “We undergo comprehensive testing to guarantee UPPAbaby products exceed all worldwide industry and regulatory requirements.”

Based on a single customer complaint, we suspect that the harm was caused by consumer overuse.

A year ago, the strollers were introduced with the claim that they were built for parents who jog on all-terrain surfaces.

The strollers include never-flat tires and a sophisticated braking mechanism for walking or running downhill.

The company Uppababy did not reply to a request for comment. In 2015, the business recalled further stroller models.
