Nozibele Qamngana-Mayaba and her boyfriend announced their upcoming pregnancy on a YouTube channel and social media networks.

Nozibele has been HIV-positive for over eight years.

When she was diagnosed with the disease, she was in denial and kept her status from her family for many years out of fear of the stigma, judgment, and even rejection associated with HIV.

Three years after her diagnosis, she met her spouse, to whom she opted to reveal her condition immediately. In 2019, the couple exchanged wedding vows.

On their YouTube channel, the couple shared their pregnancy journey and Nozibele’s desire to become pregnant before the age of 35.

“Our hearts are overflowing with love for you [the fetus]. We have prayed for you for quite some time. We look forward to meeting you,” she wrote.
