Nigeria’s Anti-graft Agency Introduces Virtual Town Hall Meeting Tagged ‘EFCC Connect’

The Nigeria’s Anti-graft Agency the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC says, it has launched a virtual town hall meeting called EFCC Connect, to expand its reach and engagement with citizens within and outside the country.

This was revealed in a press statement in Abuja by the Commission’s Head of Media & Publicity Mr Wilson Uwujaren.
“The EFCC Connect, is an online programme designed to engender close interface and collaboration with the Nigerian public, provide answers and clarification to issues, sensitize and educate them on the war against economic and financial crimes using the social media platforms – Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.

“This move is in line with one of the objectives of the Commission’s Strategic Plan (2021-2025); to increase the level of public engagements in the fight against economic and financial crimes” the statement said.

EFCC enjoined the public to be part of the weekly conversation which will be transmitted live on the official handles of the EFCC @officialEFCC at 7pm every Wednesday.
