Davido Brags About Philanthropic Contributions to Orphanages
Renowned Nigerian singer, Davido, proudly announced that he has spent over two hundred million naira on orphanages across Nigeria.
In a statement shared on his Instagram page, Davido expressed his joy in using his platform to serve others.
He disclosed that his foundation, the David Adeleke Foundation, has disbursed a total of two hundred and thirty-seven million naira (237,000,000) to benefit the less privileged.
Davido highlighted that the tradition of giving back to the less privileged began a few years ago on his birthday.
He expressed gratitude to everyone who donated and contributed to changing lives, emphasizing the notion that people rise by lifting others.
In his statement, he wrote, “I’ve always wanted to use my platform to serve others.
Thankful that through your generosity, I’ve been able to do so.
We recently disbursed over N200m to several orphanages in Nigeria, a tradition that started a few years ago around my birthday.
Thank you to everyone who donated.
With your help, we are changing lives.
This is what I mean when I say We rise by lifting others. These are words in action.

Davido Honored with National Honour Award
The Federal Government of Nigeria conferred Davido with a national honour award, making him an Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON).
Davido shared the news on his Instagram story, displaying the list of other recipients of the same honor, while highlighting his own name.
Appreciative of the recognition, he captioned the post with his name, “David Adeleke OON,” along with the Nigerian flag.
Davido’s uncle, Ademola Adeleke, celebrated his nephew for bringing pride to the Adeleke family and serving as a good ambassador for Osun State.
He wrote, “Congratulations Davido on your conferment with Nigeria’s national honour award, Officer of the Order of Niger (OON).
You have made the family proud and Osun as a state.”
