Niece Waidhofer found, in her Houston home, dead last month, relatives said

It has been discovered that well-known Instagram influencer Niece Waidhofer committed suicide. Niece frequently utilized her platform to advocate for mental health issues.

Waidhofer, who also had a modeling career, was discovered in her Houston home some time last month, according to police, who were phoned by a worried relative to check on the star’s wellbeing.

Waidhofer, who had 4.2 million Instagram followers, frequently shared reels and other materials in which she candidly revealed her mental health difficulties.

She was 31.

The influencer’s family revealed to TMZ on Monday that she struggled with her mental health, which led to her taking her own life. The influencer gained notoriety in 2015 after creating the popular Reddit trend “Roast Me.”

A relative told the site that, “Unfortunately, Niece took her own life after a long fight with mental health concerns.”

She was extremely forthcoming with her followers about her troubles, even wishing to assist those who shared her suffering, they continued.

Waidhofer, who had 4.2 million Instagram followers from her constant posting of reels and other stuff, cleaned up her social media accounts early last month, deleting all but three of her images and videos.

Her following was alarmed by the decision, with Reddit reports of her suicide starting to circulate as early as last month.

One user posted one of the star’s final images, a selfie taken in March, on May 28 and captioned it, “RIP to Niece Waidhofer.”

It seems like she died, the user wrote. I’m sorry for your loss; my sympathies to her family and friends. Her final Instagram post in her honor.

In honour of Waidhofer, her family announced that they would form a non-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness of mental illness and providing funds for its study.

The late star, according to family members, was more than just her struggles with mental illness; they claimed that she took pride in the fact that she authored all of her Instagram posts herself and took the majority of her photographs and videos without the help of a professional photographer.

According to her relatives, “Niece was more than her challenges.” She was attractive and sympathetic, perceptive and witty, creative and gifted, giving and compassionate, deliberate and difficult.

“While it is so very difficult to say goodbye, we take comfort in knowing she is reunited with her father, her three grandparents, her uncle, and her beloved Puff; and that she is now free to be herself and, finally, at peace.”
