Nick Carter ‘thankful’ for holiday with family after brother Aaron’s death

“So glad to spend some quality time with all our loved ones on Thanksgiving,” the 42-year-old Backstreet Boys member captioned a Saturday Instagram slideshow featuring him and his family. “we hope you all enjoyed themselves as well,”

The adorable photographs featured his wife, Lauren Kitt Carter, and their three children: Odin, 6, Saoirse, 3, and Pearl, 1 year old.

Several fans remarked in the comments section that it was “so amazing” to see Nick smiling after a few weeks of grief.

On November 5, Aaron’s body was discovered in the bathtub of his California home at the age of 34.

According to reports, police discovered compressed air canisters and pill bottles at the site, but the official cause of death is pending toxicology testing.

As a homage to Aaron’s passing, Nick posted a series of images of the two of them on Instagram.

This month, the “I Want It That Way” singer posted, “My heart has been broken today.” Even though my connection with my brother has been tough, my affection for him has never diminished.

He continued, “I have always hung onto the dream that he will one day choose a healthy path and find the urgently needed assistance he so sorely required.”

“Sometimes we wish to attribute a loss to someone or something. However, addiction and mental disease are the true villains here.”

Nick requested and received a restraining order against his younger sibling in September 2019 due to their tense relationship over the years.

An alumnus of “The Masked Singer” earlier alleged that the “I Want Candy” singer admitted to wanting to murder Nick’s then-pregnant wife and threatening their sister, Angel Carter. Aaron first refuted the allegations.

However, as the death of the “Aaron’s Party” singer approached, the brothers intended to mend their friendship.

Taylor Helgeson, Aaron’s manager, recently told Page Six in an exclusive interview, “I know they had intentions… to reconcile and forgive. I do not know the specific date, but I do know that they intended to do so.”

Nick was seen crying onstage prior to a tribute to the “How I Beat Shaq” singer at a Backstreet Boys concert days after Aaron’s death.

As images of Nick and Aaron were displayed on-screen, the band performed “No Place.”
