A woman was discovered dead in the backseat of a car parked in a posh neighborhood in Manhattan, and the vehicle contained an “assortment of liquid chemicals,” according to the police.
The authorities believe that she committed suicide. The 35-year-old woman was found unconscious on East 56th Street and Sutton Place in Midtown at around 11:20 a.m. on Sunday.
Emergency workers, who responded to the incident, wore chemical protective suits. The police confirmed that there were no other injuries. The Office of the City Medical Examiner will determine if she ingested the chemicals.
