New York Jets hope all roads would lead to Aaron Rodgers

During the offseason, the New York Jets hoped that all roads would lead to Aaron Rodgers, but that time has long passed, and now they need all roads to lead to Rodgers.

After the first day of the pre-free agency tampering period, the Jets’ best veteran free-agent options, Jimmy Garoppolo and Mike White, have reportedly agreed to deals with the Raiders and the Miami Dolphins, respectively.

The quarterback market keeps dwindling, and the situation surrounding Rodgers is still unclear, with no one having any idea what’s going on.

The Jets had hoped that Monday would be the pivotal day when Rodgers revealed his decision, but the hours passed without any indications.

The problem is that the situation has remained stagnant for six weeks, and the Jets can only wait for so long.

The next-best scenarios, including Ryan Tannehill, Carson Wentz, Jacoby Brisstett, and Baker Mayfield, aren’t great options anymore.

If Rodgers doesn’t work out, the Jets’ most pivotal decisions – quarterback and Quinnen Williams – loom, and the ones that could weigh on head coach Robert Saleh and the general manager the most if they mess them up.

The Jets’ boldest rebound move would be to try to insert themselves into the Lamar Jackson sweepstakes, which would involve parting with more assets than in any Rodgers deal.

There are so many moving parts at this point, but the one that the Jets need to move the most keeps standing stagnant.

They have tailored their entire offseason around Rodgers, but at this point, all roads just can’t lead back to Zach Wilson.

The Nets’ season wasn’t over, and after losing two of their first three games without Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant, five wins in their past six games have changed their outlook.

Since March 3, they have the NBA’s second-best team defensive rating, and they haven’t allowed a team to top 125 points during that span.

The Nets have played themselves right back onto solid playoff footing, and they play ten of their final thirteen games at home after Tuesday night’s visit to Oklahoma City.

Fordham’s first-year head coach Keith Urgo has made it clear that the present and future of Fordham’s program won’t be defined by the downfalls of the past anymore, and this season’s run doesn’t have to be an anomaly for the Rams.
