According to Mayor Eric Adams, a migrant mother in New York City committed herself on Sunday at a facility housing some of the thousands of migrants that other states have sent to the city.
The mayor disputed that his city was too accountable for the fatality and instead focused on governors like Greg Abbott and Ron DeSantis, who had sent migrants to Martha’s Vineyard and New York City.

The statement started, “The hundreds of asylum seekers we have witnessed come in our city came to our nation wanting a better life.

The awful news comes as Adams after 2,500 migrants were bussed into the Big Apple and daily influxes of refugees into Texas, proclaimed a “humanitarian catastrophe” in his city.
The tragedy “is a reminder that we have a duty to do all in our ability to assist those in need,” the mayor said in a statement.
The Democrat Mayor claims that despite the opening of 23 emergency shelters, New York’s capacity to house refugees has recently been near breaking point.
According to Adams, 38 more shelters will be built to address the growing problem.
Adams said, “This is an American catastrophe that we need to face—a humanitarian crisis that was produced by human hands, by some of the governors in the southern states.” Adams was speaking on ABC on Sunday.
On Sunday, at least six buses carrying asylum seekers arrived in New York from Texas as the city’s shelters were “at breaking point.” Over 11,000 migrants have entered the city overall since May, 2,500 of whom Governor Abbott bused.
