New Jersey student accused of attacking classmate Adriana Kuch before she killed herself faces another criminal charge

A student from Central Regional High School in Bayville, New Jersey, who was one of four accused of attacking Adriana Kuch, a fellow student who tragically took her own life two days later, is facing an additional criminal charge of conspiracy to commit aggravated assault. Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer announced the charge on Thursday, following further investigation into the incident.

One student has already been charged with aggravated assault, while two others face charges of conspiracy to commit aggravated assault. The four students have not been identified due to their age.

The student facing the new charge has been released pending a court date. The incident, caught on camera and shared on social media, showed Kuch being attacked by the other students, who threw a drink at her, dragged her down the hallway, pulled her hair, and hit her with a water bottle. One of the girls who recorded the incident also mocked Kuch via text after the beating.

The school community has been left grieving and stunned, with emotional residents and students lambasting a culture of cruelty at a school board meeting.

Kuch’s family plans to take legal action against the school system, and the former school chief has already resigned.
