Eben Etzebeth gushed over his soon-to-be-wife Anlia van Rebsburg in the comments section of a post she devoted to him on Tuesday, January 31.
Springbok player Eben Etzebeth responded to his girlfriend Anlia van Rensburg’s message thanking him on being named SA Rugby Player of the Year. Anlia rushed to Instagram on January 31 to congratulate her future husband and express her pride in him.
Etzebeth was nominated for the award together with Malberhe, Siya Kolisi, Lukhanyo Am, and Kurt-Lee Arendse.

Then Etzebeth comments on the post, “My trophy is standing next to me.”
Etzebeth disclosed that he and Anlia will be getting married on February 4th. During a press conference at SARU House in Plattekloof, Cape Town, he also disclosed that fellow Springbok player Frans Malherbe will be getting married this coming Saturday, February 4.
“Siya is attending my wedding, while Scarra (Ntubeni) is attending his. “I instructed Siya and Scarra to make a video call to each other at some point during the evening, and then to give me and Frans the phones so we can congratulate each other,” he added.
According to The Citizen, the Getroud Met Rugby player and Etzebeth met in Melkbosstrand, a seaside resort north of Cape Town, in October 2021. Five months later, the rugby player proposed to Anlia, who accepted.
