“Angry eyes” Springbok Eben Etzebeth and Allan Alaalatoa reconcile

Springbok giant Eben Etzebeth and Wallabies prop Allan Alaalatoa reconciled following a violent brawl that erupted during Saturday’s Rugby Championship Test in Sydney, which the South Africans won 24-8 to break a nine-year drought Down Under.

After Makazole Mapimpi scored for the Springboks in the 71st minute to give the visitors a 17-3 lead, a big brawl ensued when other players joined in. The Wallabies shared a video on Twitter of the pair enjoying a beer after the match.

Etzebeth and Alaalatoa were in the center of the commotion when the drama erupted, despite the fact that other players from both teams were involved along the perimeter wall.

Etzebeth and Alaalatoa, the respective captains on the field after Siya Kolisi and James Slipper were changed, made contact with one another’s faces during the enraged pushing.

Alaalatoa pulls two drinks from the refrigerator in the locker room after the game, then walks over to Etzebeth and hands him one.

The two forwards appeared to have made amends as they welcomed one another and laughed before sharing a beer.
