The anonymous note reads: “Hi, Are you truly disabled? You both walked from your car like athletes. Please follow the rules.
” The driver was shocked by the writer’s “absolute gall” to pass judgement about her situation. She took to social media to shame the writer and explain that her mother is legally disabled and was given a disability parking permit.
The image of the note has since circulated on Reddit, where many users expressed their horror and support for the mother.
One user called the writer a “lonely coward” and assured the mother that the rest of society does not judge people like this.
Another user was outraged and told the mother to continue using the disability parking permit as it is essential to ensure that people with disabilities have access.
A third user sympathized with the mother and said that the writer must have been having a bad day and that there is no need to justify why she has a disabled sticker.
