Momentous California guy rescued after 100-foot fall from cliff

After falling from a 100-foot cliff that caved in under his boots, a terrified walker was seen on camera being rescued by rescuers.

On Saturday morning in San Mateo, California, the unnamed Californian guy fell over the cliff. He wasn’t gravely hurt, but he was stuck at the edge of the Pacific with nowhere to go but up.

A female walker heard the man begging for aid and used an abseil to carry him to safety, as shown in a dramatic video provided by Cal Fire.

The guy was hauled up the high cliff with the help of a rescuer who was attached behind him using a pulley system made of connecting ropes.

The guy was at least able to pull himself up the cliff and speak with authorities, but it is still unknown what condition he was in. He seemed shaky when he reached the top. Additionally, one of the man’s sliders was missing.

A stern caution from CAL FIRE San Mateo, which said to “avoid cliff edges as they are unstable,” was included with the publication of the footage.

Because many of the beautiful waterside cliffs in California are structurally weak and quickly give way, cliff falls there are particularly frequent.

A 25-year-old guy was murdered and three others were injured in May when they went on a morning trek in Southern California and fell from a 300-foot precipice.

One of the women in the group was going to the toilet in the dark when she slipped and fell down the cliff at Paseo Del Mar in Palos Verdes Estates, causing the tragedy.

Los Angeles native Jerardo Huitzil, 25, passed away at the scene. Two other ladies, who were gravely hurt while frantically trying to find the lady who had fallen, had to be flown from the beach to a nearby hospital.

According to Captain Steve Barber of the Palos Verdes Estates Police Department, the fourth individual, Vincent Avila, 25, who had minor injuries, was able to climb back up from the beach below and call an officer who was passing by at 4.30 a.m.
