The event occurred outside the Heritage Hotel in Orlando on August 6th.

Both brothers were killed, and the deputy was placed on temporary administrative lead until the outcome of an investigation.

According to the agency, Dylan Jimenez, the brother who was incapacitated when the deputy arrived, was engaged in a gun war.

However, seemingly unbeknownst to the deputy, just outside the crowd of bystanders surrounding the dying man stood Richardson, visibly distraught over his brother's condition - and, as one spectator shouts, with a handgun at his side

However, apparently unknown to the deputy, Richardson stood with a revolver at his side just beyond the gathering of bystanders encircling the dying man.

After several seconds on the scene, the officer notices the armed man and draws and points his service pistol at Richardson.
In the video, Richardson is not violent and even hands the gun over to the female officer with his other arm extended toward the deputy.

Despite this, he is shot eight times by the police before fainting.
