The mother of two young boys whose bodies were discovered in the bathtub of their Bronx home has been charged with murder in their stabbing murders, after posting a Facebook comment about wanting children to feel secure at home.
The 46th Precinct accused 22-year-old Dimone Fleming with two counts each of murder, intent to commit murder, and murder: depraved indifference to a person less than 11 years old.
Her sons, 11-month-old Octavius Canada and 3-year-old DeShawn Fleming, were discovered dead in their unit at a Mount Hope homeless shelter on Saturday night.
The youngsters suffered “several stab wounds” to the neck and body, said to Deputy Chief Louis Deceglia.
Just hours before the boys were located, Fleming posted a comment about parents trying to safeguard their children on social media.
Dimone Fleming published a Facebook post about the importance of children feeling protected at home.

“I always want my children to know… Come home if the relationship isn’t working! If your debts get excessive, RETURN HOME! If you feel unsafe COME HOME! The message, which was initially posted by another Facebook user and shared by the mother on Saturday morning, stated, “If anything doesn’t seem right, COME HOME!”
“I want my children to know they can always come home… “I never accepted the adage ‘at 18 they’re adults’,” the post adds.
In a bathtub, the bodies of DeShawn Fleming and Octavius Canada were discovered.
Fleming was brought into jail as a person of interest prior to the discovery of the children when police arrived to the flat after receiving a complaint of a lady “acting erratically” and setting kitchen items on fire.
She was discovered naked on the third floor, according to authorities.
When they brought her away, the police did not find the murdered boys buried behind a mound of garments in the bathtub.
The young kids’ necks and torsos suffered “several stab wounds,” said to Deputy Chief Louis Deceglie.
A neighbor informed police that the children were with their father, according to officials.
Police returned to the shelter at 8 p.m. after receiving a 911 call from the distraught father, 31-year-old Columbus Canada, who discovered the lifeless bodies of his two boys.
Sunday, law enforcement officials told The Post that Fleming may have murdered her boys out of fear that they were possessed.
A police source stated, “She made odd claims regarding the devil.”
A tribute for the murdered brothers is held in front of a Bronx shelter.
In a previous Facebook post, the mother stated chillingly, “There is only one genuine God, and I repent of every wrongdoing and evil influence. Leaving behind anything that no longer serves me…… “Thank you for your compassion.”
Administration for Children’s Services had investigated the lady following the birth of DeShawn, according to sources who claim she was suspected of inadequately caring for the kid.
