Police have discovered the body of a 78-year-old woman who went missing on February 2 from her home in The Gap.
Although preliminary investigations reveal no suspicious circumstances, officers will prepare a report for the Coroner.
Police would like to thank all of the volunteers and members of the public who helped with the search, including those from the State Emergency Service (SES) and local community groups, as well as businesses that provided CCTV footage.
EARLIER: The search for a missing 78-year-old woman in The Gap area is still ongoing.
Divers from the Enoggera Reservoir assisted with the search.
Unfortunately, no trace of the missing woman could be found.
The Gap’s coordinated land search for additional bushland will continue.
The missing woman was last seen on February 2 at around 9 p.m. at a Lahore Street address, from which she is believed to have fled on foot.
