Met Office problems In advance of King Charles’s visit to Scotland, there is a yellow weather advisory for tonight.

Before King Charles arrives in Edinburgh tomorrow to follow behind the Queen’s coffin as it is transported to St Giles’ Cathedral, the Met Office issued a yellow weather warning for rain tonight.

The weather agency predicted tonight and into Monday morning to be quite rainy, but that should end before the King arrives in Scotland for the funeral ceremony.

Tens of thousands of mourners lined the streets as the Queen’s casket arrived in Edinburgh earlier today before spending the night at the Palace of Holyroodhouse.

The monarch will be taken to St. Giles’ Cathedral tomorrow at 7:20 p.m. for a vigil.

The rain is due to begin for north England and Wales at midnight and will end at 11am, clearing ahead of tomorrow’s procession.

During the day in Edinburgh, the Met Office predicts a ten per cent chance of rain, clearing to less than five per cent by the afternoon – meaning the royals and the crowds should remain dry.

A yellow weather warning means severe weather is possible and people should plan ahead, considering delays and likely disruption.

In other parts of the UK, the south will be mild while the north will be chilly and windy.

England will see bright moments on Tuesday and Wednesday when the Queen’s casket has been flown to London, however Wednesday early rain is predicted in the south.
