Annual Report and Accounts of the Scotland Office and Office of the Advocate General for Scotland (OAG) published

Today [12 July 2022], the Scotland Office and the Office of the Advocate General for Scotland (OAG) published their annual reports and financial accounts.

A summary of the work being done to address the pandemic, carry out the Levelling Up agenda, and offer legal backing for Westminster measures extending to Scotland is included in the paper.

The report gives a summary of the activities of the Scotland Office and OAG for the fiscal year 2021–2022. Some of this work’s highlights are as follows:

  • supporting the Scottish Covid-19 pandemic response from the UK government in terms of testing, funding, and the expansion of the vaccine programme.
  • aiming to enhance lives and increase possibilities by assisting Scotland in implementing the Levelling Up objective of the UK government.
  • implementing the City Region and Growth Deal programme to invest in initiatives suited to the needs and strengths of Scotland’s regions in collaboration with local partners and the Scottish Government.
  • aiding the economy by collaborating with the Scottish Government to create the Green Freeports bidding proposal for Scotland.
  • provide legal assistance and guidance on all Westminster bills that affect Scotland, ensuring that they adhere to Scots law and the devolution agreement and function without a problem.
