Katie Nicholl, author of The New Royals: Queen Elizabeth’s Legacy and the Future of the Crown, stated that the heir to the throne converses with his father ‘nearly daily’ and that the two are ‘on the same page’ regarding the future of the monarchy.

In an effort to move on from “past controversies,” their vision involves prohibiting Andrew from keeping a public role in the Royal Family, according to her.

This was a reference to his friendship with paedophile millionaire Jeffrey Epstein and the long-denied allegations that he sexually raped Virginia Giuffre when she was 17 years old.

Ms. Nicholl told Lorraine, ‘I believe Brexit drew William and Charles closer together inexorably. Charles’s strategy for his first five years as king is already in place, and he is prepared to hit the ground running and wow us.

As they arrived at the chapel, they appeared solemn but mustered a smile for the small group of well-wishers.

It was their first public appearance since the State burial for Queen Elizabeth II on Monday.

She frequently attended services at Crathie Kirk during her vacations at Balmoral Castle, where she passed away earlier this month.
