McDonald’s will shut all restaurants for Queen’s funeral


Monday from midnight to 5 p.m., all McDonald’s restaurants in the United Kingdom will be closed so that employees can “pay their respects” to the Queen.

The state funeral of Her Majesty will take place at Westminster Abbey following the conclusion of her four-day lying in state at Westminster Hall.

McDonald’s restaurants in the United Kingdom will be closed from midnight on Sunday, September 18 to 5 p.m. on Monday, September 19 in remembrance of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and to allow all employees to pay their respects.
