Queen Margrethe, who was immunized against coronavirus, was diagnosed with COVID-19 in February of this year, exhibiting minor symptoms.

She discovered she was sick upon her return to Fredensborg after attending the state burial at Westminster Abbey.

The monarch was scheduled to hold a reception at Christianborg Castle on Friday, but Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary will take her place.
