Matsatsantsa confirms signing Grant Margeman on a and Thabang Sibanyoni.

The loan agreements for two players from Tshwane rivals Mamelodi Sundowns have been confirmed by SuperSport United.

On social media, Matsatsantsa announced that the club had obtained Grant Margeman’s and Thabang Sibanyoni’s signings on loans totaling two years and one year, respectively.

Midfielder Margeman made his PSL debut for Ajax Cape Town (now known as Cape Town Spurs) in the 2016–17 season.

During his three-year spell at the team, he played slightly under 100 games before agreeing to join Mamelodi Sundowns at the start of the 2020–21 campaign.

Margeman was given a loan to Swallows FC for the 2021–2022 season in order to receive some playing experience.

He was able to play in over 20 matches and hopes to play more often at Matsatsantsa.

Sibanyoni, a forward, significantly contributed to University of Pretoria’s second-place finish in the GladAfrica Championship in the 2021–2022 season, despite a close playoff loss to Swallows FC.

Sibanyoni was a key factor in Bafana Bafana’s 2021 COSAFA Cup victory in Gqeberha.

Margeman expressed his excitement about joining Matsatsantsa, saying, “I feel honored to be a member of this club and it’s a tremendous privilege to join a team like SuperSport United.

I believe it’s a move in the proper direction for my career at this time, and I want to give it my all.

I thought I had a respectable season with Swallows FC last year, but I’m going to focus on increasing my stats, which include goals scored, assists received, and games the team has helped to win.

In the meantime, Sibanyoni, a 26-year-old striker, anticipated joining his new squad.

“I’m excited to join this fantastic group.

I am really thrilled to join SuperSport United because I have always wanted to demonstrate that I can score goals in the Premier Soccer League.

My goals for this season are to score more goals and, ideally, place among the top 10 goal scorers.

Grant Margeman and Thabang Sibanyoni have signed loan agreements with SuperSport United for terms of two and one years, respectively.

The two players transferred from rival Mamelodi Sundowns to Matsatsantsa.

The two will undoubtedly increase the squad’s depth under incoming SuperSport United coach Gavin Hunt.

SuperSport United’s 2022–23 DStv Premiership season will begin on Sunday, August 7, at 17:30 at home against Chippa United.
