Market Theatre Foundation and Yes4Youth have provided 17 young people from historically underserved neighborhoods the chance to reenter the workforce via a sponsored internship program.
The 17 selected candidates will each get a 12-month fixed contract worth R5,000 per month, allowing them to acquire experience working at the Market Theatre Foundation, a significant and well-known cultural institution, and to develop as creatives with a lateral mindset.
Successful interns will work with interesting coworkers, learn a variety of skills that will provide priceless work experience, and possibly connect with people who could offer future permanent career opportunities in the creative arts industries – as well as in alternative career fields – by accepting one of the many internship positions offered by the Market Theatre Foundation.

MEDIA INTERN

- Relevant qualification – in media or marketing.
- knowledge and skill on Adobe Suite
- Consolidation of material for publications, brochures, post cards etc while ensuring high standards.
- Design media materials according to MPW corporate identity and templates as needed.
- Maintenance of templates and media image archives.
- Follow project plans pertaining to media and publicity including logistical design and time frames.
