After 22 years of marriage, One Nation senator Mark Latham announced his separation from wife Janine Lacy under “quite peculiar circumstances.”
‘In 2000, I married Janine, and I thank her for the joyful and loving years we enjoyed together,’ Mr. Latham wrote in a message posted on social media.
But now it’s over (in rather unique circumstances). My affection for and commitment to my children’s best interests are now my top priorities, he stated.
The 61-year-old Mr. Latham said that he wants to continue living his life and serving the people, “, especially the next NSW election.”
He continued by wishing Janine and their two boys well.

Mr. Latham’s second wife was Ms. Lacy. In 1991, he wed Gabrielle Gwyther, who would become his first wife. 1997 saw their separation, and 1999 saw their divorce.
The next year, he was married to Ms. Lacy.
Mr. Latham was a Labor MP and Ms. Lacy worked for the Liberals when they first met.
