Manhunt Underway After Fatal Stabbing in Brentford: Police Appeal for Public’s Help

Police authorities are currently searching for an individual after a 44-year-old father-of-two, Darren Augustine, was stabbed to death in Brentford.

The incident occurred on April 26 when Augustine went to a property in Brentwick Gardens with the intention to burglarize it.

During the attempted burglary, he sustained fatal stab wounds to his chest and abdomen, collapsing outside.

Police Release Image of Suspect Seen with Victim

Investigators have released an image of a man who was present with Mr. Augustine at the time of the incident.

Detective Jason Fitzpatrick, part of the Metropolitan Police’s Specialist Crime Command, appealed to the public for assistance in identifying the individual.

The released CCTV analysis confirms the man’s presence with Augustine and his visit to the flat in Brentwick Gardens.

Detectives are eager to uncover his identity and urge anyone with information to come forward and speak to the police.

Arrests Made and Ongoing Investigation

Following the incident, a 28-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of Darren Augustine’s murder and has been released on bail until early August pending further investigation.

Additionally, ten individuals—seven men and three women—were apprehended on suspicion of murder during the investigation.

However, all of them have been released with no further action and are cooperating with the ongoing police probe.

Victim Remembered as a Family Man

In a statement issued by his relatives, Darren Augustine was described as a family man who leaves behind two children.

The family emphasized his positive character, stating that he “did not have a bad bone in his body.”
