Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies are two matches from defending Caf Champions League

After reaching the semifinals, Mamelodi Sundowns are two matches away from defending their Caf Women’s Champions League crown.

This year, sundowns have been extremely productive. They recently won their third consecutive Hollywoodbets Super League championship.

With that behind them, they shifted their emphasis to defending the continental championship they won in the inaugural season in Cairo.

They have certainly been on fire. They breezed through the group stage and advanced to the semifinals on Sunday night, scoring 11 goals while surrendering only one in Group B.

The Brazilians’ group stage campaign opened with a 2-1 victory over Bayelsa Queens, with Lelona Daweti scoring twice in each half.

The team of coach Jerry Tshabalala needed to assert their dominance if they were to maintain first place in the group after a tense start.

Daweti, Melinda Kgadiete, Bambanani Mbane, and Boitumelo Rabane scored in the 5-0 victory over Wadi Degla.

I am leaving Le Grand Stade de Marrakesh.

Tshabalala, though, said that TP Mazembe will be eager to cause a shock on Sunday, despite the fact that his team had just defeated Degla.

Sundowns avoided complacency to the extent that they defeated Mazembe 4-0 to go to their second consecutive tournament semifinal.

Zanele Nhlapho and Salome Kekana scored their first goals in Morocco, while Daweti and Kgadiete extended their scoring streaks.

Even though the draw has not yet been completed, Sundowns will play Group A runner-up Simba Queens in Rabat on Wednesday evening.
