Lynne McGranger, renowned for her role as Irene Roberts on the Australian soap opera Home and Away, received an outpouring of support from her co-stars after a distressing accident.
The 70-year-old actress took to Instagram to share a photo of her bruised and bloodied face following a severe fall where she “face planted” onto the road.
A Painful Mishap on a Dog Walk
Lynne McGranger was accompanied by her friend Annette, who also happens to be the mother of her son-in-law, as they took her daughter’s dog for a leisurely walk.
However, an unexpected incident unfolded during what should have been a routine outing.
The Aftermath of the Accident
In her Instagram post, the soap star explained the harrowing event: “One minute walking your daughter and son in laws dog with your MOG (mother of the groom) @annette_dickson.
Nek minit you’ve face planted the road.” The image showed blood on her lip, with grazes covering her chin, nose, and cheek.
Co-Stars Extend Their Well Wishes
Upon seeing Lynne’s post, her past and present Home and Away co-stars quickly responded with heartfelt well wishes.
Sarah Roberts, known for her role as Willow Harris from 2017 to 2021, expressed concern and hoped it was just on-set makeup.
Ethan Browne, who portrayed Tane Parata, found the injuries looked rather impressive and wished Lynne well.

Rodger Corser, who played Doctor Hugh Sullivan for 28 episodes in 2006, joined in with, “My Lord!!! Was hoping it was for the show. Rest up Lynne.
Ouch!!” Demi Harman, who portrayed Sasha Bezmel on the soap for four years until 2015, thought it was a special effect and sent her best wishes for a speedy recovery.
