LSU student’s lawyer criticizes the release of a new video

The lawyer representing the family of Madison Brooks, a Louisiana State University sophomore who was allegedly raped and killed, has criticized the release of a new video showing her in a car with her alleged rapists just before the incident.

The footage depicts Brooks slurring her words and arguing with the four accused men, with a brief moment where she insults them and calls the driver ‘gay.’

The lawyer, Kerry Miller, expressed her distress at the defence’s continued release of videos to the media and their attempt to control the narrative.

She further criticized the defence’s implication that Brooks could consent while drunk, as the video suggests.

Brooks died after being hit by a ride-share car after being dropped off by the four men, and her family is still seeking justice for her.
