Linda Sokhulu lands the major role in the drama “Grown Woman.”

Popular actress Linda Sokhulu will portray Tina Hlathswayo in the new drama Grown Woman by 1Magic.

Linda Sokhulu, who played Dr. Tumi Selepe in 7de Laan, will co-star in 1Magic’s Grown Woman alongside Nandi Nyembe, Bohang Moeko, Hlubi Mboya, and Bahumi Mhlongo.

According to the character of Linda Sokhulu in the Sunday World, Tina Hlatshwayo alters the myth that life begins at age 40 because she begins hers at age 49.

She lost her husband a year ago, and Bohang Moeko portrays her much younger, very attractive boyfriend.

She must adapt to a new lifestyle with her children (Sakhile, portrayed by Mahlangu, and Noxee, portrayed by Mhlongo).

She spent 25 years raising her children and working, and now, at age 49, she must examine herself to determine who she is and what makes her happy.

Shirley Adonisi, head of local entertainment channels at M-Net, told Sunday World, “Friday nights on 1Magic have become home to edgy, boundary-pushing shows about women taking control of their lives and narratives.”

With the premiere of Grown Woman, we’re thrilled to continue and advance this genre, and we can’t wait for our audiences to engage with it.

Grown Woman will premiere on 1Magic (DStv Channel 103) on February 3 at 9:30 p.m.
