Lesley Musina and Bokang Phela have joined the cast of the Xitsonga telenovela Giyani: Land of Blood for its third season. According to News24, Musina will portray the patriarch and successful attorney Solani Khoza, while Phelani will play his ex-promo girl-turned-club manager wife Pele.
Gigi Ndlovu has also joined the cast as Dzovo, Solani’s son, according to the news source.

The banana plantation has been replaced with a game lodge, which Manoko continues to plunder, while the villagers continue to be marginalized and live in poverty on their purportedly own land, according to a press release.
Lesley Musina, the Giyani: Land of Blood actor and television personality who portrayed Ndalama Mukwevho on Muvhango, left the soap opera in 2017.
Musina told Drum Magazine that he was astonished by the manner in which he left the show because his plot abruptly concluded.
“To be honest, it wasn’t pretty, and it was also a bit of a bombshell. Your plot is concluded, and I was like, “What?” Lesley stated on SABC 3’s late-night program Trending SA, “I don’t hold any grudges, and I believe it was time for me to leave.”
Musina, who appeared on the soap opera’s 25th anniversary in 2022, stated that he was really grateful for the opportunity to appear on the program.
