Lara Trump walked the runway at a fashion show held at Mar-a-Lago to benefit a pet adoption charity over the weekend.
The event was titled ‘Wine, WoMEN and Shoes’ and was held by Big Dog Ranch Rescue, promoting itself as ‘the largest cage-free, no-kill dog rescue in the U.S.’ Trump’s sister-in-law wore a flowing blue corset dress from Parisian designer Anne Fontaine and was captured on film by Kimberly Guilfoyle, the girlfriend of Donald Trump Jr.
The former president did not attend, as he did last year in a surprise cameo, but called Lara “incredible” in a press release celebrating Eric’s mother Ivana Trump after her death last month.
Big Dog Ranch Rescue has often appeared as a guest of Tucker Carlson on his Fox News show, and the charity has spent as much as $1.9 million at Trump’s properties in recent years, according to a HuffPost report in 2021.
The organization notes on its website that it has saved over 50,000 dogs since it was founded in 2008.
Eric and Lara Trump frequently participate in fundraisers for the organization to save dogs, and Lara has been instrumental in garnering legislation that prevents animal cruelty, including the ban on Greyhound racing in Florida.
Lara Trump served as an advisor to her father-in-law’s 2020 presidential campaign and spoke at the Conservative Political Action Conference at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center in Maryland over the weekend.
During her speech, she criticized President Joe Biden’s administration and touted Donald Trump’s efforts to lower unemployment.
Donald Trump once again dominated the straw poll at the annual Conservative Political Action Conference, with 62% of attendees surveyed saying they want him as the 2024 GOP nominee. Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis came in second with 20% support.
