Kraft Heinz’s manufacturing line became contaminated with diluted cleaning solution

Due to a potential cleaning solution contamination, more than 5,700 pouches of the wild cherry-flavored juice from Capri Sun are being voluntarily recalled, according to a Monday announcement from Kraft Heinz.

The firm claimed in a statement that only particular wild cherry-flavored Capri Sun products were impacted.

“Diluted cleaning solution, which is used on food processing equipment, was unintentionally introduced into a manufacturing line at one of our plants,” the company said.

After receiving “many customer complaints” regarding the flavour, Kraft Heinz claimed to have found the issue.

The “Best When Used By” dates on all of the impacted goods are June 25, 2023.

According to the firm, the manufacturer code on each individual pouch ranges from 0733-0900, whereas the manufacturer code on the cartons in which the pouches are sold ranges from 0733 to 1000.

Customers who bought things that meet these requirements may return them to the retailer.
