Klint Kubiak is the sixth contender for the offensive coordinator position with the Jets

Sunday, the Jets continued their search for an offensive coordinator by interviewing Klint Kubiak, a source revealed.

Nathaniel Hackett, who has previously interviewed with the Jets, has also interviewed with the Broncos. Kubiak worked as the Broncos’ passing-game coordinator and quarterbacks coach last season, and he also called plays for a period under Hackett. In 2021, he was the offensive coordinator for the Vikings.

Kubiak, age 35, is the son of Gary Kubiak, a prominent NFL coach. Early in his career, Jets head coach Robert Saleh worked with the elder Kubiak with the Texans.

Mike LaFleur, who was fired after two seasons as the Jets’ play-caller, must be replaced.

Hackett, former Colts offensive coordinator Marcus Brady, Eagles pass-game coordinator Kevin Patullo, Eagles quarterbacks coach Brian Johnson, Browns pass-game coordinator and wide receivers coach Chad O’Shea, and Patriots tight ends coach Nick Caley are the other six acknowledged candidates for the job.
