Kaizer Chiefs set to fire 3 midfielders

Kaizer Chiefs is set to lose three midfielders. The third midfielder, Kamohelo Mahlatsi, has been confirmed to leave at the end of the season, according to Phakaaati. Mahlatsi is struggling for regular gametime and his camp is not happy with his current situation at Naturena. He is the third Amakhosi player linked with an exit.

Phathushedzo Nange and Cole Alexander are the other two midfielders linked with departures. Nange is being targeted by former coach Gavin Hunt, while Alexander looks set to leave. The PSL veteran is currently injured, and he is unlikely to play regularly when he does return.

According to a source within Mahlatsi’s camp, “What good does it do for a player to be happy about being part of a big team but not playing? Everyone wants to play, and Zwane has not given Kamohelo a fair chance.

The best option is for us to pack and go.” Meanwhile, a relevant source confirmed on SoccerLaduma that “It looks certain that (Alexander) will leave at the end of the season. He is currently out with injury and I don’t think even if he recovers, that he would have that chance to play again, looking at the remainder of the season and also the players the coach prefers ahead of him.”
